Overcast but cool.
Difficult because of a lack of intense lighting other than my Xenon handheld.
The standard procedure, in 2012, was to identify issues, focus on those repairs, then polish the remaining vehicle down to a pinpoint on our Xenon handheld.
Today (2026) we use various LED lighting from handheld spotlights to penlights and our roller Manfrotto lightstand/dolly holding larger LED’s.
This 1965 Ford Cobra Superformance required extensive paint correction, including targeted color sanding and multiple polishing stages to restore clarity and depth to the finish.
Superformance vehicles are not fully prepared, close, and what’s done is good though they routinely leave sanding marks in the lower areas. At least the 7 I’ve done have had the same issues in the same places.
